eBook guide (Nook)
PURCHASING eBOOKS
FROM REDBERY BOOKS
(Either
directly from your device or from any other computer)
- On a Nook Color or on any computer, use a web browser (e.g.,
Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer) to go to the Redbery
Books website (www.redberybooks.com)
and log in to your account.
- Choose your book
either by using the general search box or by selecting a book directly and
then selecting the “Google eBook” from
the related editions; or by using “Search
Google eBooks” in the right sidebar
- Add the Google eBook to your cart and complete the
purchase normally. Your Google eBook is now available to you in your
Google account from any device (except Kindle).
READING YOUR GOOGLE eBOOKS
(Nook)
- On your desktop or laptop
computer, log in to the Redbery Books website (www.redberybooks.com) and click the
“Read my Google eBooks” in the
right sidebar. (You will need to be logged
in to your Google account and will be reminded to do so if you are not.) All of your Google
eBooks will appear and be available to you here whether they were
purchased from Redbery Books or not.
- Select the book that you want
to read on your Nook and download
the “Adobe Digital Editions” file
to a location on your computer. I
suggest creating a Google eBooks folder
for this purpose.
- Double-click the
downloaded file.
It will open in the Adobe
Digital Editions program (see
first time only instructions). The Google
eBook will appear on your “purchased” bookshelf under “all items” [Nook] or in the “my files” section
of the library [Nook Color].
- Plug your Nook into your computer
using the USB cable. Adobe Digital Editions will
automatically detect your Nook
and will appear under the bookshelves list.
- Select the Google eBook that you want to read on your Nook and drag the icon
(within Adobe Digital Editions)
to the Nook icon.
- Read!

you will need to create a Redbery Books account if you don’t
already have one.
- When
purchasing the Google eBook from the Redbery

here. You don’t need to create a
separate account.
- During
the checkout process, you will be asked to associate your Google
account with Redbery Books, say yes! (this can be undone at any time)
- You
will need to download and install Adobe
Digital Editions (available from www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions)
on a desktop or laptop computer that you want to associate with your Nook. Do this on the desktop or laptop
computer that you will use transfer books to your Nook and not on some other random computer
- Download the Adobe Digital Editions software and install following
the instructions.
- When
asked to sign in, click the “create an account” link above the sign in
boxes to create an Adobe account if you don’t already have one.
