About Our Book Clubs

Redbery Books has several groups that meet regularly to discuss great books. All groups are are open to new members. Book club members will receive 10% off all books purchased on their book club meeting day!!!  Here’s the current list of book clubs:

Redbery TeenReads is an on-line club for teens in grades 6 and up and participants meet through a Facebook group:  Redbery TeenReads!!  Current and prior selections of Redbery TeenReads.

The below groups meet at Redbery Books, downtown Cable, unless otherwise noted. 

T.H.U.R.S. (The Highly Unusual Reader Society) book club meets the second Thursday each month at 3:00 p.m.  Current and prior selections of the T.H.U.R.S. Book Club.

Word of Mouth book club meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.  Current and prior selections of the Word of Mouth Book Club.

Chapter & Verse, a book club for adults who enjoy children’s literature, meets the third Wednesday each month at 5:00 p.m.  Current and prior selections of the Chapter & Verse Book Club.

1001 Books meets the third Thursday of each month using the books in 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, an eclectic selection of critical essays, beautiful illustrations, and detailed quotes.  Current and prior selections of 1001 Books.

Men’s Book Discussion group meets at 6:30 p.m., usually a Friday in the Rivers Eatery.  Check the event calendar for exact date, time and location.  Current and prior selections of the Men's Book Discussion group.

Natural Word book club, a book club for anyone who enjoys nature, meets at 5:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of January, February, March and April.  This book club is sponsored by and meets at the Cable Natural History Museum.  Current and prior selections of the Natural Word book Club.

Mystery Lovers book club is currently on hiatus.  Please feel free to join any of our other book clubs.  Prior selections of the Mystery Lovers Book Club.
